I'm a rather simple person.
WYSIWUG -> What you see is what you get.
I am expressive and straight forward at times.
(Sometimes it does not work in my favour)
I care
A LOT
about the people around me and sometimes I let things get to me.
I <3 WoW (World of Warcraft).
As of now, I have 3 Level 70s
An AWESOME lock (Littlemme) - my main,
A huntard - potion farmer
, A priest - healer (newly 70)
I love to raid, see big crits (highest is 6450) and play with my guild - Wrath Dynasty of Aerie Peak.
(BTW we downed Lady Vaj of SSC and Kael of TK all in 3 hours -> Ok it was AFTEr the patch but still we are 7th in terms of guild progression on our server)
I hate farming EoTS marks and WS marks. (ARGH! I'm gonna throw the com outta the window!)
I love SPIDERPIG (*sings* Spiderpig.. Spiderpig.. Does whatever the Spiderpig does...)
I'm a beginning teacher (trained to teach Bio, Chem and Science. I HATE PHYSICS)
ok.. more later.. tons of marking is waiting.

Hi reader,
I am finally updating my very very very dead blog... Thanks to all the people/student/spammer who are still checking in here once in awhile...
As the title goes.. I'm soooo addicted to Legend of the Seeker.. I have read all the books of the series by Terry Goodkind and seriously, these books beat those silly vampire stories that kids are crazy about thesedays... (I'm only blogging cos my show is loading in the background.)
So some updates for 2009... I'm officially OC Unit for Damai NPCC... yikes.. there are some very big shoes to fill... I also recieved my caring teacher award.. Thanks to all who voted.. I'm just really grateful that all the little things I did for my form class really touched them.. And I hope to always be real and true to my students... Apologies for always giving stacks of revision worksheets.. I just wanna make sure u guys are revising well...
I'm flying off soon in about 2 weeks.. Gonna be going to Germany as usual then flying off ITALY!!!! I am soooo excited.. All the horror stories I've heard about the place.. I'm alittle aprehensive but I'm sure I will be fine... Just gonna keep thinking of all the bags I'm gonna buy... I seriously hope that I will be able to resist! I will only be back on 27th December so DON'T CALL ME!!!!
Hmmm.. I suddenly have a little idea in my head... A student dedication post.. Afterall... you guys always write about teachers.. it's time we return the favour.. but most probably not now.. its almost 1 am... look out for that post then... =) back to my show..

Hihi...
This is a boring day... Nothing much happened and SERVER IS DOWN... not that I am in the mood to play WoW.. Seriously.. thesedays I'm sooo tired that I jsut wanna hug Spiderpig and go to bed the minute I reach home.
My lab session with 1E3 went pretty well.. I'm always amused by how these kids get so scared of a Bunsen burner (repeat: Bunsen burner with a capital "B") They seem to listen to my clickclickclickclick rule. I'm thankful. No one misbehaved. I think they are warming up to me. Somehow I felt rather happy going in to teach them.
Then came Science with 2E3. Did ions today and wanted to complete isotopes but i think i still have a lot of blur ppl so I need to slow down the pace a little. Spoke with Maki about the smart alecs in class and a suggestion was to prepare extra more challenging questions for the people who give problem and send them out of class to do it. I think that idea is AWESOME! I'm gonna dig for some SUPER hard ones that even their bloody tuition teachers can't solve!
On the topic of tuition teachers... I'm one who had a tutor for almost every topic with the exception of Biology and Literature (I'm proud to say this!) and I NEVER disturbed my classmates during lessons just because I know all the stuff that is taught. Seriously, (thinks hard for a nickname... damn this is hard....) ok let's just call them Boy 1 and Boy 2. So Boy 1 is always really annoying with his constant name calling and bully-syndrome. Boy 1 disturbs Boy 2 ALOT and everytime I turn around he's poking Boy 2. So I asked Boy 2 some questions and he TOTALLY could not answer them. WTH? Boy 1 has a tutor but Boy 2 doesn't. This makes it VERY VERY IRRESPONSIBLE of Boy 1. I seriously hope that he's doing it on purpose to "eliminate" competition. If it's true.. I'm sad to say, he's a real pain in the neck.
Another pair of wonder boys are worrying me too. *sigh* I'm so disappointed in them today that I get super tired of constantly asking them to concentrate. Should I press on or should I just give up and focus my energy on people who bother? WHY ME!!! Would it make me a bad person? A bad teacher? An elitist? I suck! I just wish I had more energy.. I'm kinda drained at the moment. I really hope I can regain some energy after CNY.
On a happy note, I noticed that Miss D and Miss S are working harder for Science and in general are producing rather good quality work. I'm happy and proud of them. The rest of the class are also really on task and motivated to learn other than for these buggers. I wish I wasn't so affected by them but its hard to ignore. I guess I suffer from the "I-want-to-save-them-all" syndrome. But as Teddy always says, there must always be a 10% loss to create a selection pressure to propel Mankind to greater heights. But am i willing to let this 10% go? I'm not quite ready at the moment. I'll just give them a few more tries.
Tired and rather bored. Gonna watch some TV and hug Spiderpig since Teddy ain't around for a hug. :'(

Hihi...
Today has been a long day... And so was the day before and the day before yesterday... Geez... Teddy is back in his hometown and I'm alone for 2 weeks. I guess this is the time to catch up on school stuff. After the meeting for CCA Workplan (UG), i just realised it is really ALOT to be the OC of NPCC. There is just sooo much to do and I hope I can handle it on top of my NYAA coordinator responsibility. Some times I wonder.. WHY ME!!
It has always been like this that I get sooo stressed out at the beginning and eventually things always work out fine. Although I know this, I'm still always so stressed out. Time is never enough. I've been working since 7 am this morning and I only left school at 7 pm. Had a 1 hour dinner break and then its back to work again. Planning notes and making worksheets and slides and etc and etc.... GOSH that's a lot of "and" bleah.... The admin is killing me. I wish I have a monkey that can help me tick on record who handed up which worksheet or workbook and then chase those little rascals for their homework. ARGH!!! GIMME A MONKEY!!! ME WANT ME WANT!!!
Ok enough whining about work. I guess there are a couple of things to be thankful for.... J-star is behaving better in class now. She is on task and seems to be motivated to do her work. I'm glad that she is turning out for the better... I seem to be getting the hang of going through Workbook. I breezed through Chapter 1 super fast and managed to go through almost all. I personally thought that was AWESOME!!!! Hehehe... Let's hope I keep it up..
One more thing to whine about... I noticed that the class is rather noisy thesedays. ESP my Sec 3 and Sec 2 classes. GOSH! What is wrong with these kids... WHY WON'T THEY SHUT UP and LISTEN!!!! (ok pardon the shouting but its really really frustrating and straining on my voice) Sometimes I wonder WHY do I strain my voice for ppl who can't be bothered to listen to my lessons? I mean yea if you have a tutor and don't need me, then u can go to sleep in class provided u score awesome grades. U DO NOT GO ROUND DISTURBING others who DO NOT have a tutor. Seriously, some kids need a rude awakening. Maybe I should just speak softer but then the kids who really wanna learn won't benefit. *sigh* teaching is a tough job. I wish I had a clue what to do in these situations. And like the Seaweed girls say, " Life is an adventure, drink it." I just need to drink more water and hope that in the future I won't get throat cancer due to the constant straining of the vocal chord. BLEAH!
Before i end my post and go off to bed... I wanna share this interesting article on PINK IGUANA found in the Galapagos... They look kinda cute in a weird kinda way. Click
here
for the link.
One of the pics.. :P

Hihi...
HELLLLOOOOOO!!! I know I know its been awhile.. ok a VERY LONG while since I updated my blog... Its almost as dead as my throat is. Yes, I'm down with a soar throat (again) I guess I'm still not immune to the "diseases" floating around school.
So currently I'm waiting for my cadets to get ready for their Promotion Ceremony where I will be handing out their new ranks. Its kinda exciting for me since its my first "official" parade?? I don't even know what to call it. ARGH! So I'm all dressed up in my NPCC uniform. I dunno how I look but I guess quite different since the kids almost didn't recognise me. Oh well... Anyways I have a few minutes to post an entry.
Just a little update on my trip to Germany in December. The weather was pretty good, most around 5 degrees celcius and sometimes dropping to zero but it was still bearable. I bought ALOT of clothes.. which are kidnapped by my mum cos.. "Ah ger... Keep for Chinese New Year ok???" Yes, my family follows the custom of having everything new for at least the first day of CNY. Well other than shopping, I did visit a few places, I was in Berlin, Munich, Nuremburg and Frankfurt. Teddy had to drive alot so yea.. But it was pretty fun for me.. cos I was mostly sleeping in the car and of course with Spiderpig to hug.
In Berlin, we visited the
Bradenburg Tor
(a famous gate that is super old - from the time of Napolean if I'm not mistaken),
Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum
(it was totally AWESOME. I never knew I could make soooo many strange poses, Teddy was kinda boring with his but haha it was fun). Of course we went to the
Zoo
(We saw Knut but only his BUTT, that sleepy head was cuddled in a pit on the ground and refused to get up. We waited for quite some time but got bored. A really pissed tiger was grunting and roaring the whole time. He even charged at me. Thank god for the iron bars. A lion almost sprayed his urine on us cos he decided to pee when we were close and the iron bars were NOT covered by glass.),
Legoland
(it was rather entertaining but I felt alittle too old for it. Teddy enjoyed it though, he's a lego freak),
Sony Centre
(we watched Inkheart in the cinema and it was pretty good. I also bought the series of books at the airport before leaving Singapore. As usual not much time to read it I guess),
KaDeWe
(Its a huge shopping centre with EVERYTHING. The stuff were really branded and I felt so depressed cos those are stuff that I can never afford. EVER, unless I teach in Germany.)
So after Berlin we went to Munich cos Teddy had to work. I was cooped up in the hotel the whole day but I managed to sneak out to buy his Christmas Pressie. I bought him the Simpsons Edition of Monopoly which did not have any paper money but rather credit cards. I thought it was SUPER cool. We even played one round of monopoly with his parents. Of course everything was in German and well I guess I have loads to learn. We had a Christmas dinner with his company and it was rather yummy. We had duck with red cabbage and for dessert we had baked apple with cranberry ice cream.
OOk.. I have to go now.. post the rest later since I have to stay over night. Oh well...
